WESTERN MIDGETS AT COCOPAH THIS WEEKEND
The 2013 Honda USAC Western Midget Series heads for its penultimate round this weekend as it visits Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, Ariz. Complete events are slated Friday and Saturday as Norco, Calif.’s Ronnie Gardner continues his drive to his first USAC driving title.

JOHNSON TAKES SOUTHWEST TITLE & PEORIA PRELIM
R.J. Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz. capped his 2013 USAC Southwest Sprint Car championship with a victory in last Friday’s “Western World Championships” opener at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz. He finished eighth in Saturday night’s 30-lap finale at Peoria but finished the season with a 122-point cushion over runner-up Charles Davis Jr.

BLONDEL, DAWSON CLAIM WESTERN IGNITE TITLES
Jarid Blondel and Bryant Dawson claimed 2013 USAC HPD Western Ignite championships Saturday at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway Bullring. Blondel, of Orange, Calif., is the Western overall Ignite king, while Dawson, of Phoenix, Ariz., is the Western Pavement champ.

TURKEY NIGHT GRAND PRIX WILL STREAM LIVE ONLINE ON “THE CUSHION”
The historic running of the 73rd Annual Turkey Night Grand Prix at Perris Auto Speedway on Thanksgiving Night will be streamed live to racing fans around the world on “The Cushion.” The race will feature the Honda USAC National and Western Midgets.
