Sarver, PA (January 26, 2011) The 2011 schedule at Lernerville Speedway will once again feature two Crown Jewel events (the 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com and the 20th Annual installment of the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup) and be anchored by the best weekly show in America; Fab Four Racing.
As mentioned above, the Crown Jewel events will be the highlight of the 2011 season and schedule as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series rolls into Sarvertown for a three-day mega-event in late June for the 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com and the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars invade the Action Track in mid-July for the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XX Twin 30s.
The Firecracker 100 is scheduled for Thursday-Friday-Saturday, June 23-24-25 and the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup is scheduled for Tuesday, July 20. The World of Outlaws Sprints will also visit the Sarver Speedplant on Saturday, September 24 for the Commonwealth Clash. Still the only track in the world that features all three headlining divisions (410 Sprints, Super Late Models and Big Block Modifieds) on a weekly racing program, Lernerville Speedway’s Fab Four Racing season (which also includes the ultra-competitive Sportsman/Stocks) starts on Friday, March 25 with Opening Night. Budweiser Points start the following Friday Night, April 1 (no foolin’!) and will wrap up on Friday, August 26 during Armstrong One Wire Championship Night!
Including Opening Night and Championship Night, a total of 21 Fab Four Racing events are scheduled for 2011! Holiday Races with Fireworks during #1 Cochran Automotive Fan Appreciation Night are scheduled for Friday, June 10 followed by the Mid-Season Championships on Friday, June 17.
All Fab Four Racing divisions will stand on the gas a little bit harder during the Mid-Season Championships with provisionals on the line for the Firecracker 100 for the Lates, Silver Cup XX Twin 30s for the Sprints, Sportsman/Stock Spectacular for the Sportsman and the BRP Finale at the Steel City Stampede for the Big Block Mods.
New to the 2011 slate of events at the Action Track will be the USAC Sprint Cars and FASTRAK Northeast Regional Touring Series on Memorial Day; Monday, May 30.
USAC Sprint Cars are very similar to the weekly field of Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints, minus one key element; the wings! USAC Sprints have been a launching pad for NASCAR superstars like Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Kasey Kahne.
FASTRAK Late Models look like the weekly Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Super Late Models, but are powered by GM crate engines. FASTRAK racing in Western PA has been a battle between up-and-coming drivers like Mike Pegher Jr. and Max Blair versus seasoned veterans like Robbie Blair, David Scott and Mike Blose.
The 305 Sprint Warriors will also make their Lernerville Speedway debut in 2011 as a support division to the All Star Sprint race on Labor Day weekend. The 305 Sprint Warriors will compete in weekly competition at Mercer Raceway Park and semi-weekly competition at Sharon Speedway.
The All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints and Late Model Series will be back at Lernerville in 2011 with the traditional Labor Day weekend lid lifter for the Sprints of Friday, September 2, while the Late Models start their season at the Action Track again on Friday, April 29.
The BRP Modifieds have two dates scheduled at Lernerville for the 2011 season. The first is during Fab Four Racing on Friday, May 20. For the second straight season, the BRP Modified Tour will come to a dramatic conclusion during the three-day DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede! The Diehl Modifieds will also take center stage on Friday, July 22 for the annual Joe Pitkavish Memorial.
The Sportsman/Stock Spectacular will once again be the main event of Autumn-Motive Fest 2011 along with a 100-lap Enduro. A pair of School Bus/Kid’s Bike Races are scheduled for Tuesday, August 2 and Saturday, September 10.
In its second season, the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede shattered a Lernerville Speedway record with well over 200 cars in action over three nights; resulting in cars being pitted in the infield for the first time in the 40+ history of Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway! The 2011 Steel City Stampede will once again feature eight fast divisions, headlined by Fab Four Racing’s Ti22 Sprints, Precise Lates, Diehl Mods and Charapp Sportsman/Stock. Also on the card will be the DIRTcar Pro Lates, UMP Mods, Mod Lites, 4-Cylinders and another 100-lap Enduro.
