Fergus Falls, MN —  (June 11, 2013) — When the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series makes its inaugural visit to I-94 Speedway on Saturday, June 22, as part of the Gerdau Northern Tour, it marks a level playing field for all of the drivers.

“Over the years it has benefitted me to be able to go to a new track because I seem to be able to pick it up a little sooner than most people,” Sammy Swindell said. “It has been something that has worked in my favor over the years.”

Swindell said when he gets to the facility he will try to compare it to another track that he has competed at. Then he will look into his notes to get a base setup, which will hopefully be close enough to adjust accordingly throughout the event.

“The biggest thing is you don’t know how the track will change throughout the night,” he said. “You have to keep a close watch on everything.”

Minnesota native Craig Dollansky said he stopped by the 3/8-mile oval a couple of years ago to watch a race and was impressed.

“I have seen it and it’s a beautiful facility,” he said. “I’m looking forward to racing there.”
