Haubstadt, IN — (June 29, 2013) — Saturday’s second half of the Ford EcoBoost Challenge Weekend for POWRi’s Lucas Oil National Midget Series and Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micros at Tri-State Speedway was canceled by rain.

The prestigious 61st Hut Hundred, postponed by rain on May 31, is the next event for the POWRi National Midgets on Wednesday (July 3) at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill. The 100-lap feature with 33 starters is co-sanctioned by the Honda USAC National Dirt Midget championship. POWRi’s Micros are also racing at Tri-City.

POWRi and USAC will stay in the St. Louis area and will be joined by Badger to tri-sanction the Midgets in the Belleville Bash at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Ill., on Friday (July 5) and Saturday (July 6). The POWRi Micros are also part of the Bash.

Saturday’s rainout was the ninth for the Midgets and sixth for the Micros this season.

Zach Daum of Pocahontas, Ill., won the Midget feature and Nathan Benson of Concordia, Mo., won the Micro feature in the opening event of the Ford EcoBoost Challenge Weekend at Bloomington (Ind.) Speedway on Friday.
