While the team hasn’t competed since the middle of October, they have remained busy.

“We’re putting together a new car, getting it ready for DuQuoin and the Chili Bowl,” he said. “We’re just finishing up all the motors and getting everything together to hit the road next Wednesday.”

The fresh car will also serve as a backup option when the team heads west next week for the Honda USAC National Dirt Midget Series event at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz., Nov. 14-16.

Last weekend Felker and the team headed to a pair of banquets, where he collected trophies for finishing second in points with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series and the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association.

The team also earned honors for the best appearing car and claimed the Kevin Doty Award from the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association.

“It’s for going above and beyond,” Felker said. “It was really cool. Kevin Doty is a legend. We are really honored to take home that award.”
