From Badlands Speedway
Brandon, SD — (June 4, 2016) — Dusty Zomer wrestled the lead away from Paul Nienhiser on the 10th lap of Saturday’s 25 circuit 410 Sprint Car A Feature at Badlands Motor Speedway. Nienhiser started fourth and tried to catch the leader in lapped traffic once Zomer went to the front but Zomer distanced himself on a restart with seven laps to go. Nienhiser grabbed second while Mark Dobmeier got around Tim Kaeding late to finish third. Terry McCarl also got around Kaeding for a fourth place finish.
Matt Ziebarth’s first career win at Badlands Motor Speedway was a special one as he dedicated the win to his parents on the occasion of their anniversary. Ziebarth led all 15 laps of the IMCA 305 Sprint Car Feature beating out Jesse Lindberg for the win. Lindberg had been trailing Trevor Mell who finished third. Dusty Ballenger and Casey Abbas rounded out the top five.
