The good form of Team Fox Racing (TFR) and Scott Glazebrook continued last Saturday night (November 14) at Murray Bridge Speedway in South Australia after they picked up a fourth place finish during the second round of the Speedcar Super Series (SSS).

Aside from the fact that they have placed inside the top five in each of their three race meetings so far in 2009/10 season, another pleasing aspect for the TFR and Glazebrook combination is their continued progression.

“Our season is progressing well and our team is really starting to work strongly together as we learn more and more about one another,” Glazebrook enthused. “Building a strong relationship with your team is vital to success this season and as the saying goes; ‘You’re only as strong as the team around you’.”

The night for TFR and Glazebrook kicked off by qualifying ninth in time trials and he then went onto to win his opening heat race and then place fourth in the second heat. The results for the NSW # 9 Esslinger powered Spike driver had him as the fifth highest point scorer heading into the pole shuffle. His run in the pole shuffle ended at the hands of Grant Draney and he therefore started the feature race from position five.

For the feature race Glazebrook moved from his position five starting position early on and sat in fourth place. It was a position that he was able to hold on to all the way through to the chequered flag.

“Our run in the feature race was a good one as we had the pace of the driver’s ahead of me but the track conditions didn’t really offer much passing,” he explained. “Early on we tried to use the top of the track to move forward but it didn’t work so we just had to maintain our position and fourth place was where he finished up.”

A third and a fourth place in the opening two rounds of the SSS Glazebrook currently sits third in the overall point standings.

The SSS now heads down to Avalon Raceway (Geelong, VIC) for the third round this Saturday night (November 21) and TFR have their eyes set on another strong result.

“With this season’s Australian Title is being held at Avalon Raceway it is important to get as many laps as possible,” Glazebrook commented. “This coming weekend is going to be the first of two race meetings we have leading up to the Australian Title and I am looking forward to getting down there to work on some setup combinations and see if we can come away with a strong result.”

TFR and Glazebrook would like to thank Showpiece Signs and Designs, The Pool Shop in Kalamunda and Clemcorp Australia for all their 2009/10 season support.
