MESQUITE, Texas (March 19, 2010) – With inclement weather encroaching upon the DFW Metroplex, this weekend’s scheduled Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters season opener at Devil’s Bowl Speedway has been reduced to a one night event on Friday only.
Friday’s full card of heat races and feature events will be based on a single-day purse, with Friday night’s 30-lap feature winner collecting $6,000 and all “A” feature starters earning a minimum of $500.
Bitterly cold weather conditions and the strong likelihood of rain on Saturday have forced track and series official to cancel the Saturday portion of the 37th Annual Devil’s Bowl Spring Nationals. A potential makeup date is under discussion and will be announced when and if it is determined.
Friday night’s racing action gets under way at 8:00 p.m.
