BOYD, Texas (June 11, 2010) – Eric Baldaccini repeated his Boyd Raceway victory of one year ago by racing to victory lane in Friday night’s 25-lap American Sprint Car Series Lone Star Region main event atop the semi-banked, ¼-mile dirt oval.
After starting from the front row outside, Baldaccini led throughout for his first series win of the year and fourth career overall ASCS Regional win, taking over the ASCS Lone Star points lead in the process.
Baldaccini held off a late bid from Sean McClelland in lapped traffic to secure the win in the Laser Racing Engines-powered Smiley’s Racing Products No. 4 JEI, with McClelland, defending ASCS Gulf South champion Aaron Reutzel, Brian McClelland and Skip Wilson rounding out the top five.
Justin Melton was sixth, with Justin Carver, Preston Peebles II, Kolt Walker and Brandon Corn completing the top ten.
Baldaccini, Claud Estes and Wilson topped heat race action.
