July 12, 2010 – Josh Fisher is definitely on a roll at the Lake Ozark Speedway near Eldon, Missouri, as he captured his third feature win of the year there in convincing fashion last Saturday night. A second place run in the dash prevented him from sweeping all events for the second week in a row. The Smithton, Missouri driver will be behind the wheel of the Rick Northrop #83 410 sprint car this Friday night at Jacksonville Speedway in Illinois before returning to the wheel of the Ozark Barge & Dock Services #86 on Saturday at LOS.

The draw didn’t go so well for the heat this week, but it was only a matter of time before Josh was up front as he won the third heat of the night on Saturday. “I think we had the lead by lap two or three,” he says. “The cars in front of me were all over, and the car was working well. It has been the last few weeks. I took my time and was patient.”

The win put Josh inside of row two for the dash. A slow start set him back. “I got a bad start and I think I fell back to about fifth on the first lap,” he says. “I was able to pass (Mark) Shirshekan, Adam Jones and Brad Greer and get back up to second. I ran Kyle Bellm down, but ran out of laps. That may be a better starting spot (outside row one) than it would have been winning anyway.”

The starting spot put him outside of row one for the main event, and it was no contest from there. “We were able to take the lead right away and led the whole thing,” says Josh. “It was kind of a repeat of last week.”

Track conditions were not as heavy as last week on the 1/3 mile, but the cushion was still the place to operate. “The top in one and two were really good, but it was thin to the wall coming off of two,” says Josh. “Three and four were really good up top.”

Though he was out front, Josh had to contend with plenty of lapped traffic as most of the race went green. “The race ran pretty much wire to wire without a caution, and we were in lapped traffic most of the way,” he says. “There may have been one yellow at the beginning, but I don’t remember it.”

Josh was able to lap up to the third place car of Bryan Grimes, and finished on his nerf bar. “The car, the last couple weeks, has been great,” he says. “It’s allowed me to get through lapped traffic really well. When you can do that, you can stretch your lead out.”

The young driver will try to improve on his season-best 4th place finish at Jacksonville on Friday before returning to LOS to try for his fourth win of the season there on Saturday.
