KNOXVILLE, IOWA (July 16, 2010) – Entry forms for the United Trailers Knoxville Nationals Golf Classic, Friday, August 13, at the Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella, are available on-line at www.sprintcarhof.com under ‘Special Events’. The annual best-shot golf tournament benefits the non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation and is held in memory of the late Kevin Gobrecht. Entry fee is eighty dollars per person and includes cart, range balls and lunch. The tourney is held during the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil.
The 8:30 a.m. tournament is limited to 144 players (36 four-person teams), with single entries and team entries welcome. According to museum marketing manager Chuck Stowe, “We really appreciate the continued commitment from United Trailers in Bristol, Indiana, as they remain an excellent partner in our fundraising events. We also are honored by the commitment from the Gobrecht family, year-after-year. The late Kevin Gobrecht, our 1995 North American Sprint Car Poll ‘Rookie of the Year’, will never be forgotten at the ‘Sprint Car Capital of the World’. Once again, this golf tournament, held during the 50th Goodyear Knoxville Nationals, will bring fans and sprint car racing industry insiders together for a fun and relaxed day out on the links.”
