KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 7, 2010) – Indianola’s Summerset Winery has become the ninth vendor to commit to participating in the inaugural “Red, Wheat & Bleu” wine-, beer- and cheese-tasting special reception to be held on Wednesday, August 11, at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum during the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil. The reception is open to museum visitors on the first day of the four-day sprint car national championships from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m. and it will be held on the museum’s air-conditioned second floor.
According to reception coordinator Tom Schmeh today, “We are very pleased to have the Summerset Winery of nearby Indianola partner with us for the inaugural event. They will be joined by fellow Iowa vendors Peace Tree Brewing Company of Knoxville, Whispering Pines Winery of Keosauqua, Winneshiek Wildberry Winery of Decorah, Covered Bridges Winery of Winterset, Snus Hill Vineyard & Winery of Madrid, Maytag Dairy Farms of Newton, Corning Winery and Reichert’s Dairy Air of Knoxville. We are thrilled to have one brewery, two cheeseries and six wineries join us for this unique kick-off to the 50th Goodyear Knoxville Nationals.”
