Knoxville, IA (August 10, 2010) – Kasey Kahne Racing and the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum have teamed up, scheduling an autograph session at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum on Thursday, August 12th to benefit Injured sprint car driver Travis Rilat.
Kasey will be in the Hall of Fame lobby to greet fans and sign autographs for about an hour, beginning at 11:30 am on Thursday. Kahne and the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will be accepting donations, at that time, with 100% of the proceeds collected going to sprint car driver, Travis Rilat. Rilat was injured in an accident, away from the race track, in Washington State a few weeks ago and is still hospitalized there.
Rilat, who was severely burned, has already begun a series of skin graft surgeries that will be required. Fans who stop by to visit with Kahne and make a donation to the Rilat recovery fund will also be able to sign a giant get well card that will be sent to Rilat along with the donations they make to help off-set the expense of medical bills Rilat will incur during his road to recovery.
Bob Baker, Executive Director commented, “We are happy to work with Kasey Kahne to raise some money for Travis’s recovery. Travis is a great competitor and a great guy and we want to wish him the best and give him as much support as we can during his recovery process”. Admission into the Hall of Fame lobby for the autograph session will be free.
