Nine Drivers to Duke it Out For Inaugural FAST 305 Title This Saturday Night

MAUMEE, OHIO (9-10-10) — The number one question on everyone’s mind going into Saturday night’s finale at Fremont Speedway is who will win the title in Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (FAST) 305 Championship Series presented by Kear’s Speed Shop & Cleveland Golf? It is nearly anyone’s game as nine drivers mathematically have a shot at the inaugural FAST 305 title and the winner’s check of $1,000, a $500 certificate from All Pro Heads and a FREE Triple X Racing Components Chassis.

B&L Racing’s Stuart Brubaker holds an uncomfortable 1-point lead over D.J. Foos and stands just 57-points ahead of Josh Muntz in 9th place. Adding to the excitement is the fact that the top seven drivers are separated by just 16-points! This one is going to be decided coming out of the last corner on the last lap at “The Track That Action Built.”

If the top eight drivers make the feature event then Josh Muntz will be eliminated from the title hunt as a driver can only make up 48-points in the A-Main. With that said, the deck may be stacked against John Ivy who is 42-points out of first place, but the cagey veteran will battle for every position on every lap with the chance on improving his position. That leaves Zack Kramer, Nate Dussel, Paul Weaver, Jimmy Colvin, Bobby Clark & D.J. Foos all looking to knock Stuart Brubaker off the top of the mountain. For Brubaker the championship formula is easier said than done, as a win would be the simplest way to clinch the title.

Brubaker also has the task of holding onto the Fremont Speedway Track Championship lead as he sits 20-points ahead of John Ivy in that points battle. Stuart would need a 10th place finish to insure at least a tie.

“We could not be happier with the drama that has played out during the inaugural season of the FAST 305 Championship Series. We can’t wait to watch these drivers settle it out on the track this weekend at Fremont,” commented FAST co-founder Bryan Autullo, “Also, without the help of sponsors like Kear’s Speed Shop, Nate Highfield of Cleveland Golf, Bob Williams of All Pro Heads and Triple X Racing Components stepping up to help the 305 sprint car division at Attica and Fremont the development of this 10-race mini-series would not have been possible.”

Saturday night will also be the final chance for a driver in the top-3 of the feature to win an extra $100 of cold hard cash thanks to the Kear’s Speed Shop $100 FAST Cash Bonus Award. All year long the winning driver has made a blind draw for a ping-pong ball labeled 1, 2, or 3. The ball that is drawn corresponds with that finishing position and that driver picks up an easy hundred dollars. Currently Bobby Clark, Josh Muntz, Nate Dussel, Paul Weaver, Jimmy Colvin and Dustin Dinan have been the beneficiary of the bonus thanks to Shirley Kear and the gang at Kear’s Speed Shop. The money from the June 5th rain out will be redistributed into the FAST 305 point fund.

It will be elbows up racing for the entire 25-laps as every position counts in determining who will win it or wear it!
