Holly, MI — Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series and Davey Hamilton announced today that Davey Hamilton Racing will campaign two winged sprint cars in the series 2011 events. The Hamilton Racing primary car will be piloted by Mike Larrison of Coatesville, Indiana with the second car driven by Davey at selected MSRXSS events.
Larrison competed with the series in 2010 taking a very popular feature win at the high banked, ultra fast Slinger Speedway in Slinger, Wisconsin just outside of Milwaukee.
TruFuel 50 and Calumet Specialty Products Partners will be the teams primary sponsor. TruFuel and Calumet have been a big supporter of short track racing, the series and the Must See Racing national television programming with announcers Rick Benjamin, Tom Bigelow and Dave Argabright.
“I am really pleased and excited that a new team of this caliber will be competing in our series next year. From top to bottom they have assembled an absolute top shelf group of team players with Davey, Trufuel and Mike. I expect they will be extremely competitive and I know they are great representatives of our sport. The addition of this team to the other first class race teams in our series affirms our program is working for us, the teams and all our marketing partners in the business of racing. This will give fans a chance to see an Indy car star competing in the fastest short track cars in the world against the current Must See teams, who arguably are the most competitive and best in racing. This is gonna be fun” said Must See Racing president Jim Hanks.
Davey Hamilton added “I am excited for Davey Hamilton Racing to take part in the 2011 MSRXSS events. I have been a car owner and participant in all forms of racing and still race in select Indycar and short track races as a driver and currently own a car in the Firestone Indy Lights Series. I am really excited about the opportunity to work with Mike Larrison, TruFuel 50 AND Calumet Specialty Products and hope to bring success on and off the track.”
