USAC’s Western Ford Focus and Focus Young Guns campaigns continue this Saturday night at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu, Ariz. following their 2011 debuts last Saturday night at Lucas Oil 1-10 Raceway in Blythe, Calif.
Jake Swanson and Brandon White earned USAC feature victories at Blythe and are the early leaders in the battle for 2011 USAC championships.
Swanson, of Anaheim, Calif., passed Jessica Clark on lap three and led the final 28 laps to win the 30-lap Ford Focus feature over Clark, Paul Graham, J.R. Williams and Alex Jacobsen. In the accompanying 15-lap Focus Young Guns feature, White, of Eureka, Calif., led all 15 laps to beat Brody Kostecki and Trevor Hunt.
