COX TO DEBUT AT 81 SPEEDWAY ON SATURDAY

By Inside Line Promotions

– OAK GROVE, Mo. (March 28) – Justyn Cox has anticipated this season more than any other in his racing career.

The 16-year-old from Clarksburg, Calif., relocated to Missouri after being selected to drive a second car for Brian Brown Racing this year. On Saturday, it’s finally go-time.

“This is a great opportunity and I can’t wait to get on the track to represent myself, Brian Brown Racing and our amazing sponsors,” said Cox, who opens his season at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., with the NCRA.

This will be Cox’s second trip to the 3/8th-mile oval, where bad luck tarnished his result last season. Competing on his birthday and for the fifth day in a row last May 31, Cox was running ninth when an engine issue forced him to the infield with five laps remaining. He finished 17th.

“I like that track and had a decent run going last year before the engine problem,” Cox said. “I hope this year goes smoother and I can collect a top 10 to start this season on the right foot.”

Cox is scheduled to race approximately 30 events for Brian Brown Racing this season, including the ASCS 360 Knoxville Nationals. He will also tentatively compete in races with the ASCS National Tour and the ASCS Midwest and Warrior Regions.
