CONCORD, N.C. – April 20, 2011 – The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series kick starts its Midwest tour on Saturday, April 23, with its first and only visit this season to Oklahoma. It will mark the first time in series history the Outlaws invade the 3/8ths-mile Salina Highbanks Speedway in the northeastern Oklahoma. For many of the touring superstars it will be their first visit to the track. Jason Sides, though, is one of the hottest drivers on the circuit, plus he has experience on the Highbanks oval.

“I was at Salina for a show about 15 years ago,” said Sides, a two-time winner this season in the #7s Wetherington Tractor Service Maxim. “It’s a great track to race on and the fan support is just awesome. Everyone should come out because it will be a show you don’t want to miss.”
Sides, of Bartlett, Tenn., near Memphis, finds himself in the middle of a growing title fight that has Kasey Kahne Racing superstar Joey Saldana holding a four-point edge on 20-time series champion Steve Kinser. Defending champion Jason Meyers rides in third, four-time champion Donny Schatz in fourth and Sides is lurking in fifth.
