CONCORD, N.C. – April 25, 2011 – The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series seeks sunny skies to finally get its Midwest swing under way on Saturday, April 30, at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstandt, Ind. Plus, after being rained out this past Saturday night in Oklahoma, the tour will circle back to Salina Highbanks Speedway on Tuesday, May 3.
Tri-State is always one of the drivers’ favorite tracks on the schedule each season. The tight quarter-mile bullring has produced great action dating back to 1979 when Lee James and Larry Gates took the checkers. Last year, Craig Dollansky was the class of the field as he swept time trials and the feature event. After racing in the Hooiser state, the Outlaws will swing south once again for the “Battle on the Highbanks” and their debut at Salina Highbanks Speedway.
WHEN
Saturday, April 30, at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. Hot laps begin at 6 p.m. with time trials at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 3, at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Okla. Pits open at 2 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 6:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
