TUCSON, Ariz. (May 14, 2011) – Andrew Reinbold’s late race misfortune proved just enough for the past Arizona state Sprint Car champion to take top honors aboard Robbie Allen’s Advanced Engine-powered ABC Body Shop No. 12 entry.
Pelky assumed command in the final handful of circuits when Reinbold clipped in infield tire and suffered race-ending front end damage with a commanding lead. Pelkey went on to take the win over Nathan High, with two-time and defending series champion Charles Davis, Jr., claiming the show position after starting from the pole.
Current series points leader Jeremy Sherman climbed from 11th to fourth, with Matt Rossi rounding out the top five. Bruce St. James was sixth, with Ronnie Clark, Mike Martin, Chris Bonneau and Brian Hosford completing the top ten.
Pelkey and Reinbold topped heat race action.
