Atlanta, GA – May 20, 2011 – USCS Race Date Change: The USCS East Alabama
Sprint Car Nationals presented by Goodyear for United Sprint Car Series
winged sprint cars originally scheduled for June 10th and 11th at famed East
Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama has been moved to the
Father’s Day weekend dates of June 17th and 18th.
United Speed Contest Sanction/USCS President and Founder Pete Walton stated
that, “The East Alabama Motor Speedway race is being moved one week deeper
on the schedule to allow our race teams time to repair and recover after our
6th Annual USCS Sprint Car Speedweek 2011 mini-series running from May 28th
through June 4th. Additionally a seventh pre-Speedweek race was added as a
make-up date on May 27th at Tennessee National Raceway to make this a seven
race over nine day run.
The Father’s Day weekend racing schedule of events also includes USCS Winged
Mini Sprints, Late Models and Stock Car Racing both nights. Saturday night’s
event the 4th annual “Randy Helton Memorial” Race will honor former USCS
driver Randy Helton.
