The mighty Midgets of the Bay Cities Racing Association head to the Central Valley this Saturday to tackle the 3/8 mile clay Chowchilla Speedway. Scott Pierovich, Greg Bragg, Jimmy Sills and Brad Loyet all picked up wins at the Speedway last year.
Coming off his first career dirt Midget victory one week ago at Placerville Speedway, Shane Golobic will be one of the favorites for this event in Doug Bocks #26 Spike/Esslinger. 2011 Championship point leader and 2 time Champion Nick Foster Jr. will be leading the pack against Shane in the Fowler Motorsports #1 Beast/Esslinger, along with 2011 Dirt Championship point leader Shannon McQueen in her #7 Spike/Esslinger.
Other contenders include 7 time Champion Floyd Alvis in his #83 Stealth/Gearte, 2009 Champion David Prickett in the Neverlift Motorsports #15 Spike/Van Dyne, Dillon Silverman in the RAM Racing #4a Spike/Ecotec, Nick Chivello in the Blackwell Motorsports #27b Stealth/Ford, Britton Bock in his #67 Spike/Esslinger, Danny Parker in Bob Rozas #28 Stealth/Esslinger and Kevin Morris in Del Morris’s #17k Spike/Esslinger.
Also making the charge will be Connor Kassik in the Neverlift Motorsports #15n TCR/Van Dyne, Gary Consano in Floyd Alvis’s #18a Stealth/Gearte, Pete Davis in the “Hot Head” #00 Stealth/Esslinger, J.R. Williams in his #74 Stealth/Ecotec, Rick Holbrook in Peggy Holbrooks #6 Spike/Ecotec, Ryan Shupe in the Walker Motorsports #10 Stealth/Esslinger and Tom Doherty in the Walker Motorsports #66 Stealth/Esslinger.
Pit gates will open at 3pm with practice at 5:35pm and racing beginning at 6pm.
