CAMERON, Mo. (August 26, 2011) – Jack Dover struck a blow for the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest Regional forces by winning Friday night’s 25-lap main event pitting the ASCS Midwest versus the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region atop the high-banked U.S. 36 Raceway clay oval.
Springfield, Nebraska’s Dover, the current ASCS Midwest points leader, gunned into the lead from the pole position at the outset and led all the way aboard the Shaver-powered Thorpe’s Body Shop/Homepride Roofing No. 53 Eagle for his second ASCS win of the year and first since Nebraska’s Eagle Nationals in June.
After Warrior contenders Kyle Bellm and Jonathan Cornell both flipped from contention in the opening circuits, Dover held off fifth-starter Danny Lasoski, who challenged much of the way.
Lasoski settled for runner-up honors behind Dover, with Zach Chappell, Mike Hess and 16th-starter Dustin Morgan rounding out the top five. Cody Baker was sixth, with Brad Loyet, 18th-starter Seth Bergman, Mark Shirshekan and J.R. Topper completing the top ten.
Hess, Jeff Osborn, Dover and Lasoski topped heat race action for the 28-car field, with Trevor Grossenbacher winning the “B” Main.
