The Bay Cities Racing Association Midgets continue their 71st season this Thursday at the 3/8 mile Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico co-sanctioned with USAC Western States. This will be an opening event to the World of Outlaws Gold Cup.
There have been 2 events at Silver Dollar this year, with Kody Swanson and Jonathon Henry taking home wins. Nick Foster Jr. leads the BCRA contingent as Championship leader and Shannon McQueen is the BCRA dirt points leader. Nick will be piloting the Jim Fowler #1 Beast/Esslinger and Shannon will be in her own #7 Spike/Esslinger. Shannon will also have her #7m Spike/Esslinger with a driver to be named later.
Challengers from the BCRA group will include Scott Pierovich in the Lance Pierovich #35 Spike/Mopar, Floyd Alvis in his #83 Stealth/Buick, David Prickett in the Neverlift Motorsports #15 Spike/Van Dyne, Matt Streeter in his #14jr Spike/Fontana, Pete Davis in his “Hothead” #00 Stealth/Esslinger, Shane Golobic in the Doug Bock #26 Spike/Esslinger, Britton Bock in his #67 Spike/Esslinger, Dillon Silverman in the RAM Racing #4a Spike/Ecotec, Danny Parker in the Bob Roza #28 Stealth/Esslinger, Connor Kassik in the Neverlift Motorsports #15n TCR/Van Dyne, Rick Holbrook in the Peggy Holbrook #6 Spike/Ecotec, Michael Snider in the Lauren Snider #2k Beast/Mopar, J.R. Williams in his #74 Stealth/Ecotec, Ryan Shupe in the Walker Motorsports #10 Stealth/Esslinger, Tom Doherty in the Walker Motorsports #66 Stealth/Esslinger and Floyd Alvis’s #18 Stealth/Chevy with a driver to be named later.
USAC drivers expected will be Jonathon Henry in the Ken Graundstat #88 Ellis/Fontana, Cory Kruseman in his #21k Spike/Esslinger, Jake Swanson in his #05 Stealth/Honda, Cody Swanson in the Kirk Swanson #71 Edmunds/Van Dyne, Randi Pankratz in the Wally Pankratz #8 Edmunds/Fontana, Chris Ennis in the Calvin Martens #97 TCR/Esslinger, Josh Ford in his #73 Ellis/Fontana, Alex Schutte in the Jerome Rodella #25 Spike/Toyota and Quintin Crye in his #15x Spike/Ford.
Joining the Midgets will be the USAC Western Classic Series and CRA Sprints. Pit gates open at 2:00pm, with qualifying at 6:30pm and racing at 7:00pm.
