CONCORD, N.C. — Sept. 12, 2011 — Kyle Larson and Paul McMahan, both who have roots in Elk Grove, Calif., swept the 58th annual Gold Cup Race of Champions weekend. On the first night, it was series regular McMahan taking the checkers to grab his fourth win of the 2011 campaign with Jason Meyers and Shane Golobic rounding out the top-3. The following night, 19-year-old Larson dominated to capture the first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series victory of his career in one of the series biggest events. Jason Sides and Andy Gregg joined Larson on the podium.
Following the final event of the West Coast swing Monday night at Antioch Speedway, the Outlaws head for the Midwest once again with stops at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa, on Friday, Sept. 16, and Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., on Saturday, Sept. 17.
