After recording a fifth place finish the previous night in Ohio, Craig Dollansky and the Big Game Treestands #7 team continued traveling east to ‘The Keystone State’ on Saturday where World of Outlaws competition resumed at Lernerville Speedway for the Commonwealth Clash.
Racing got underway in Sarver, Pennsylvania with qualifying time trials as ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ posted a lap of 12.884 seconds around the 4/10-mile, 6th fastest of the 32 competitors. In the second heat race the Karavan Trailers Maxim started third and raced side-by-side with Paul McMahan but finished 4th to transfer into the main event.
Starting eleventh for the 35-lap A-Main, Dollansky lost a couple of spots before the first caution with one lap complete. A caution on the double-file restart for the Madsen brothers, Ian and Kerry, moved the Aggressive Hydraulics #7 up one spot and then motored past Ed Lynch Jr. on the ensuing restart. A great restart after a caution on lap 13 saw ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ take seventh and then inherit sixth from Steve Kinser three laps later. The field would string out as laps winded down until a caution with 10 laps to go bunched the leaders up one final time. Dollansky raced closely with Kraig Kinser for fifth on the restart but couldn’t quite make the bottom side of the track work as the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products Maxim crossing the finish line in 6th place.
The Big Game Treestands #7 team is back on the gas this coming weekend at Williams Grove Speedway for the two-day National Open beginning on Friday.
