Dobmeier Opens Labor Day Double Header with Wins at Huset’s Speedway

Mark Dobmeier needed only 8 laps to move from his 10th starting position to the lead and went on to score his 6th Outlaw Sprint win of the season. Jody Rosenboom and Lynton Jeffrey crossed the line 2nd and 3rd. In IMCA 360 Sprint action it was Donovan Peterson taking the win ahead of Casey Abbas and Eric Lutz. Racing action returns to the Huset’s Speedway high banks on Labor Day, September 5 with action beginning at 5:00pm.

Aikin Puts Hurt on Delaware URC Field

The RISLONE URC Sprint Series returned to the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night for their nineteenth event of the 2011 season. Ed Aikin of Lincoln University scored his first win of the season and fifth career win of 2011 on Taylor & Messick Night. Aikin delivered a convincing win, leading all twenty-five laps to earn the $2,000 first place prize. Aikin is URC’s fourteenth different feature winner of the season.
