From Bob Baker
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (October 11, 2011) – “Introducing… Toby Kruse” will be this month’s Sprint Car 101 – Third Thursday Series program at the National Sprint Car Museum on Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m. The program, which is free and open to the public, will introduce Toby Kruse, the new general manager and promoter at the Knoxville Raceway, to local sprint car racing fans and teams in an educational and entertaining environment.
Museum executive director Bob Baker said today, “Those involved in motorsports in central Iowa are very familiar with Toby Kruse the promoter, announcer, flagman and jack-of-all-trades. Heck, he was even our induction banquet emcee this year at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. But we thought it would be fun to use this opportunity to specifically introduce him to those at the Sprint Car Capital of the World. I am sure there are many people in and around Knoxville that would like to get to know the man that will succeed Ralph ‘Cappy’ Capitani at the helm of the Marion County Fairgrounds and its legendary half-mile dirt oval.”
