Tulsa, Oklahoma (4-9-2012) – The ASCS Canyon Region will make the first trip in ASCS history to Arizona Speedway at Apache Junction’s ET Motopark this Saturday night, April 14th.
Saturday’s Arizona Speedway stop serves as Round two of 21 scheduled events for the 2012 ASCS Canyon Region and the first of six ASCS Canyon clashes at Apache Junction’s high banked 3/8 mile oval.
Buckeye, Arizona’s two-time Canyon champ Charles Davis Jr. took honors in the 1st Canyon contest of the 2012 season in March 24th action at Peoria’s Canyon Speedway Park.
Davis resumes his annual battle with Surprise, Arizona native Jeremy Sherman, as the pair have split every ASCS Canyon Championship since series’ inception in 2007. Sherman grabbed the first two Canyon Crowns in 2007 and 2008, before Davis evened the score with 2009 and 2010 titles. However Sherman struck back in 2011 to break the even split.
Both Non Wing stars will be in action for the initial ASCS Canyon Clash at Arizona Speedway this Saturday night.
