KNOXVILLE, IOWA (May 4, 2012) – The twenty-third annual National Sprint Car Hall of Fame (NSCHoF) induction banquet, set for Saturday afternoon, June 2, is taking shape as 2012 inductees, family members, friends and special guests are beginning to confirm their attendance. Dave Argabright and Pat Sullivan will again emcee the affair which will be held in the Dyer-Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville.
According to National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum executive director Bob Baker, “We know that Ron Shaver from Shaver Specialties is bringing a large group of family and friends from southern California and that Bobby Ward is bringing just as many of his supporters from Arkansas. Plus, we just received word from New York that the late Harry Hosterman’s grandson, Richard Hosterman will be flying here to join us. And Gary Sokola’s ex-wife Valerie and daughter Laurie will be flying in from southern California for Gary’s posthumous induction. If you add these names to Thad Dosher, Chuck Hulse and Johnny Anderson, who is bringing a big group of his family and friends from northern California, you can see that this is shaping up to be one great day. Also, the late Henry Meyer’s daughter, Jane Gerhard, will be flying in from Rhode Island to share stories of her dad with us.”
Those wishing to acquire twenty-five-dollar ($25) banquet tickets, just as past NSCHoF inductees Lynn Paxton, Casey Luna, Lanny Edwards, Ray Lee Goodwin, and Tom Bigelow have done, can contact museum administrative assistant Lori DeMoss at 1-800-874-4488 or via e-mail at ldemoss@sprintcarhof.com.
