Young, Taylor, Bean and Horn Take Mel Kenyon Midget Series Point Battle to US 24 Speedway

(Lebanon, IN) Travis Young takes his slim 53 point cushion into US 24 Speedway Saturday September 8 when the USSA Mel Kenyon Midget Series returns for its final dirt race of the 2012 racing season.

Young won the last race at US 24 August 25, while Dameron Taylor finished second. Cordy Horn set a new Mel Kenyon Midget Series lap record on the 25th and Jessica Bean won the series 1st dirt race on August 11th. All four drivers have performed well at US 24 and proved that they are fast and competitive.

Young, Taylor, Bean and Horn have each won races during the 2012 season, demonstrating how close the players are in the Mel Kenyon Midget Series. The entire season is coming down to the final two races of the year. The championship will now be decided by a two race shoot out at US 24 and at Anderson Speedway October 6.

The US 24 Speedway gates open at 3:00 PM, practice starts at 6:15 and racing will begin at 7:15. US 24 Speedway is located on US 24 west of Logansport, IN.
