Rough Night in Hanford for Steven Tiner

PETERSEN MEDIA

Steven Tiner would very much like to forget the 2013 Rebel Cup Series Opener, as he had a very rough night on Saturday night aboard the Stan Greenberg owned No.37.

With a strong 20 car field assembled at the Kings Speedway, Tiner was strong early as he timed in the Western Metal/KPC machine third fastest.

Starting sixth in his heat race, Tiner was able to work his way to third on what was a very hooked up track, and put himself in the feature event inversion.

With the six pill being pulled, Tiner found himself in the third row for the 30-lap feature event.

With the track still very fast, and rough in some spots for the feature, Tiner was looking for a strong start, as passing seemed to be very tough.

Racing with Carson Macedo when the green flag waved, Tiner was forced to check up on lap three as Macedo biked next to him.

As he checked up, Tiner’s machine too biked, however, Tiner was unable to save it, and his machine went for a nasty flip, and his night was over.

“We had a good car, but that is not how we had hoped our night would end up,” he said. “It was kind of a tough track, and hopefully the next time we get back to Hanford it isn’t nearly as fast and we can put on a better show.  I have to thank Stan Greenberg for letting me drive for him.”

Stever and his Steven Tiner Racing team would like to thank BR Motorsports, King Racing Products, Elma Lanes, Larry Davis Farms, Wright Process Systems, Harvest Supply, Powder Coat-It, SRP, Wilwood, FSR, Dan Olson Race Prodcuts, Sander Engineering, Sweet Manufacturing, Good Ridge, Schoenfeld, Western Metal Company, and Roseville Precision for their support in 2013.

2013 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-2, Wins-0, Top 5’s-0, Top 10’s-0

ON TAP: Tiner will be back in action this weekend with the Rebel Cup Series when they hit the Thunderbowl in Tulare, CA on Saturday night.
