Lawrenceburg, IN — (April 27, 2013) — 2 Time Lawrenceburg track champion Joss Moffatt had not won at the burg since 2007, never on the track since it was changed to a 3/8 mile configuration. On this night, Moffatt did it all. Winning his heat race, then drawing the pole position from the redraw and led from green to checkers. The most serious challenge came from Gary Taylor in the 40 car. Taylor started 3rd and caught Moffatt early on and actually made the move around Moffatt two different times but the caution flag saved Moffatt and put him back to the point. It also allowed Moffatt to see where Taylor wanted to make the move and Moffatt was able to put the block on. With those things in Moffatts favor, he was able to lead all 25 laps to pick up his first win at Lawrenceburg since 2007. Taylor finished second followed by Brett Burdette, Ted Hines, and Logan Hupp. Heat race winners were Moffatt, Taylor, and Justin Owen. Brad Stevens won the B Main. The Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprint cars return to the track on Satruday, May 4th.
