KNOXVILLE, IOWA (May 1, 2013) – “An Evening with Matt & Tony Moro” is set as the next program in the National Sprint Car Museum’s Sprint Car 101 Third Thursday Series and it will take place on Thursday, May 16. The free and open-to-the-public presentation will take occur on the second floor of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum at 7 p.m. in Knoxville.
According to museum curator Tom Schmeh today, “We are very excited to be hosting both Tony Moro and his son Matt for our Sprint Car 101 program this Thursday evening. Both are racers that come by their passion naturally, as Tony’s father, also named Matt, raced here in the upper Midwest. And I have to thank National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Bob Trostle for the excellent suggestion of hosting the Moro’s. Bob and his wife Dorotha are regulars at our monthly forums and he planted the seed about two months ago. If you are looking for an interesting and educational night out in a fun and relaxed racing atmosphere, be sure to come out on Thursday, May 16, as we salute the racing Moro family.”
