DJ Netto to Pilot Van Dyke 5H at Cocopah Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA

With the California season over, DJ Netto has agreed to pilot the Van Dyke Motorsports No. 5H at the Cocopah Speedway this weekend against the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

“I am excited to do some racing out side of California, and take on the very talented Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour,” Netto said. “I’m really thankful and excited to drive for Harley Van Dyke, his team had a great year in 2013, and hopefully we can run well.”

Piloted by Justyn Cox in 2013, the Van Dyke No. 5H team scored some big victories as they won the Mel Hall Classic, a feature event at the Bellville Highbanks, and pocketed a win at the Petaluma Speedway, as they also made the Knoxville 360 Nationals feature event.

Netto is closing out his second year in a winged sprint car, and it was a coming out party of sorts, as the 17-year-old, Hanford, CA product pocketed his first two career wins as he pulled off a huge win with the Taco Bravo 360’s, and used some late heroics to pick up a Rebel Cup win.

With both driver and team coming together for this weekend, it should be a very strong combination, against a very tough field of cars.

Sponsors on the 5H include, Lucas Oil, K&N Products, JRI Shocks, NAAKE Suspension, and Rodgers Racing Engines.

DJ and his Netto Racing team would like to thank Netto Agriculture, Penny Newman Grain, Bogies Auto Parts, and Vande Pol Enterprises for their support in 2013.

2013 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-48, Wins-2, Top 5’s-11, Top 10’s-25

ON TAP: Though the California season is over, DJ is hoping to get down to Arizona to compete against the Lucas Oil ASCS National Series. Stay tuned on any announcement.
