Selinsgrove, PA — (November 27, 2013) — Selinsgrove Speedway’s annual motorsports show at the Susquehanna Valley Mall will run Sunday, March 16, through Saturday, March 22, according to track and mall officials. For the first time in the show’s long-running history, it will be anchored by two high-profile racing events at the half-mile oval located just three miles south of the mall.
The seventh annual Race of Champions (RoC) Icebreaker weekend for modifieds will precede the mall show opening at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, featuring the 358 modifieds, and at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15, with the big block modifieds taking center stage in the prestigious Icebreaker 40.
Setup for the mall show will take place between 9 and 10 a.m. Sunday, March 16. The motorsports show will run daily through Saturday, March 22, and conclude with the presentation of the 2013 track championship rings by Dan Foss of Foss Jewelers and driver interviews in Center Court at 7:30 p.m. Race teams can register for the show after Jan. 1 by calling Steve Inch at 570.523.8420 or emailing publicrelations@
To round out 10 straight days of motorsports events as part of the 2014 season kick off week, the 410 sprint cars will make their season debut at the track at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 23.
The first four division show of the season featuring the speedway’s weekly 358-360 sprint cars, super late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 29.
Selinsgrove Raceway Park will hold an open practice session for go karts and micro sprint cars at 12 p.m. Sunday, March 30. The first full-points race of the season for go karts and micro sprint cars on the one-fifth mile track will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 4.
Track officials expect to release the full schedule of events for the 2014 season shortly after Jan. 1. The 2014 rules for the speedway’s weekly divisions have been posted on selinsgrovespeedway.com.
