One year after getting his first taste of 410ci action, Hanford, CA driver, DJ Netto, is excited to announce that his DJ Netto racing team will follow the King of the West Series in 2014 during their 18 race schedule across the state of California.
“I am very excited that we are able to run with the King of the West Series in 2014,” Netto said. “They have put together a great schedule, and I am excited to see what the new ownership group does with the series.”
Competing all over the state in 2013, running with various sanctioning bodies, Netto will fill his schedule with various 360 races ranging from the Ocean Speedway with the Taco Bravo Series, to competing with the Civil War Sprint Car Series Presented by Flowmaster.
In what will be his third full season in winged sprint cars, Netto has found success early in his young career as he won the 2012 Rebel Cup Series Championship, and picked up two-feature event wins in 2013.
In 2014, Netto and his team welcome sprint car mechanic Cori Guy to their team. Guy is no stranger around sprint car racing as he has last worked for the Finley Farms Racing team in 2013, as well as stints with Silva Motorsports when that team ran with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour with Shane Stewart.
“We are very excited to have Cori Guy join our team in 2014,” Netto said. “With his knowledge, we are hoping we an have an even better year in 2014, and pick up a few more feature event wins, and be competitive with the KWS boys on a nightly basis.”
Netto’s season will start in Las Vegas, NV on Wednesday March 5th with the World of Outlaws, and Netto and his team will follow the Outlaws through Tucson AZ, and into California leading them to the King of the West opener.
“It is always a good test to take on the World of Outlaws,” he said. “Last year we did it at the start of the year, and learned a ton, that I think helped us with our regular season, so hopefully with a year of 410ci racing under our belt, we can be a little better with them.”
