From Port Royal Speedway
Port Royal, PA – (March 29, 2014) –With flood watches in effect from Saturday through Monday morning and the assurances of heavy rain settling into the area by late afternoon Saturday plus the factor of temperatures in the low 40s, Port Royal Speedway has cancelled its third attempt at a season opener on March 29.
This moves the 2014 season opener to Saturday, April 5, again at 5 PM. Practice laps will begin at 4:30.
General admission gates will open at 3 PM.
Racing action will include the 410 sprints, super late models and the 305 sprint cars.
A practice session ONLY will be included for the 355-econo late models.
The season opener will now include $1 Hot Dog Night and the first Camera and Autograph Night of the year, offering free admission to the pit area for general admission ticket holders from the time gates open until approximately 4 PM.
Free schedule magnets courtesy of Juniata Beverage will be given to the first 600 fans entering the stands.
