From Lernerville Speedway
Sarver, PA — (April 3, 2014) — 2013 Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman/Stock Championship rivals AJ Flick and Corey McPherson debuted their new rides to rave reviews this past weekend at the sprawling Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills as part of the second car show in as many weeks. Flick makes the jump to the thrilling Peoples TWP DIRTcar 410 Sprint division in 2014 and has a brilliant appearance courtesy of Greg Dobrosky/Showtime Designs. Corey McPherson is branching out into the RUSH/FASTRAK Crate Late Model racing division, but will continue to run his #C33 Sportsman/Stock car most Friday Nights.
AJ’s #2 Sprint Car was voted by a panel of local media and track officials as the “Best in Show”, while McPherson had the most “Fan Favorite” likes on Facebook in both the Late Models and Sportsman divisions. In the interest of sharing the love of the fans, Carl Bowser was selected as Fan Favorite in the Sprints and Mike Pegher Jr. in the Precise Late Models. After a solid turnout the previous weekend at Clearview, there were no Diehl Mods at the Mills show.
Future star of Fab Four Racing Brodie Oravetz topped all drivers in any division with 200+ likes to force the first ever Fan Favorite Award in the GoKart division! When that many people support and like the efforts of a young driver and his parents, we have to be recognized! We look forward to the day when Brodie joins the ranks of Corey McPherson and AJ Flick in a big car at the Action Track!
Across the two weekends of car shows at Clearview Mall and the Pittsburgh Mills, dozens of cars were on display. Lernerville Speedway management would like to thank everyone that had their cars and karts on display to support our efforts, promote their sponsors and please their fans.
The following drivers displayed their cars on our behalf; Carl Bowser and AJ Flick in the Peoples TWP Sprints; Chuck Sarver, Mike Pegher Jr. and Corey McPherson in the Precise Late Models; Mike Turner, Bob Warren, Tom Glenn, Shaun Fleeger and Travis Walsh in the Diehl Mods; Corey McPherson, Bob Egley, Joey Zambotti, Stan Riggle, Ryan Moyer, Brett McDonald, Rob Shook, Aaron Easler, Brian Stivenson, Collin Burke, Bob Schwartzmiller, Scott Bowman and Jim Godber in the Pic-A-Part Sportsman.
