Due to the recent snows and wet weather, the re-modeling efforts at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee have taken longer than expected. This has forced the United Sprint Car Series to re-schedule its Friday, May 30th USCS Sprint Speedweek 2014 Round #5 at another facility.
The new location for the 5th Round of the 2014 Speedweek will be at the popular Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS on Friday, May 30th. It will be the first time the annual USCS Speedweek has had a stop at the popular Columbus, Mississippi speedway.
On the previous night (Thursday, May 29th) the one week long mini-series stops for it’s first-ever USCS Speedweek stop at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. On the night after the Magnolia Motor Speedway (Saturday, May 31st) the USCS Speedweek Round #5 event, the Round #6 finale will be held at historic Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas.
The USCS Sprint Speedweek 2014 kicks off as traditionally on the Memorial Day weekend. The send off event will be at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byrum, Mississippi on Saturday, May 24th. On Sunday, May 25th the USCS Speedweek contingent moves over to Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi for Round #2. As traditionally since the week of speed started, Round #3 is contested during Monday Motor Madness at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee on Monday, May 26th at 7pm.
