One of URC’s young and up-coming stars, Andy Best of Dover, DE announced Thursday that Keyfield Automotive Paint will join the Lonnie Judy and Andy Best sprint car team as a major sponsor. Kayfield Automotive Paint, headquartered in Wilmington, DE has store located in Newark DE, Camden DE, Broomall PA, Exton PA and Abingdon MD. Andy’s first race under the Kayfield banner will be May10th at the Jack Gunn Memorial at Selinsgrove, PA. A $3,500 payoff will go to the winner of this prestigious event. Selinsgrove Speedway is an absolute great place to make the first outing for Keyfield as this is one of Andy Best’s best performing track.
Following the Jack Gunn Memorial, the Rislone URC Sprint Series will move to the Bedford Speedway in Bedford on Friday night, May 16. The following night, Saturday, May 17 the URC sprints head to the Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, DE for a special Memorial Race to remember one of URC’s all-time racing greats, Kramer Williamson. In August of 2014, Williamson lost his life in a tragic racing accident at the Lincoln Speedway.
The Kramer Williamson Memorial will offer an additional $4,000 in prize money posted by a long list of sponsors. Each feature position will pay an additional $73 in memory of Kramer Williamson and, the eighth place finisher will pick up an additional $108 in memory of URC’s Midge Miller. Each feature lap will pay the race leader $73 and lap eight will pay $108 to the race leader. The halfway, lap 13 race leader will earn $528. Heats, the “B” Main, Fast Time and Hard Charger will also earn an additional $73. In additional, a paid provisional will be added to the starting field.
