The USAC Pavement Midgets resume action July 24 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Ind. The race will be held in conjunction with the J.D. Byrider 100 USAC Silver Crown Championship race that night at LOR.
Tracy Hines of New Castle, Ind. has assumed the lead position in the standings of the series after winning Saturday night’s 69th Visit Hendricks County “Night Before the 500” Classic at LOR.
Hines started on the pole in his Parker Machinery/Turbines, Inc. Spike/Stanton Toyota and trailed Kyle O’Gara for the first three laps before the moving to the front, where he remained for the final 47 laps around the .686-mile paved oval.
O’Gara finished second in the race ahead of Derek Bischak, Nick Hamilton and Michael Fanelli.
