(Lebanon, IN) The USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW will make its first appearance at Angola Motorsport Speedway on Saturday night July 26. A tight point race is expected to enhance the wheel to wheel racing excitement the non-wing sprint cars are known for.
Angola Motorsport Speedway features a 3/8 mile, high-banked, asphalt track set on 78 acres in beautiful Steuben County. The restrooms, kitchens, and stands have all undergone complete renovation to help ensure the track is friendly for the entire family. Sprint car fans will enjoy the races from the comfortable grandstands or from one of the private luxury suites located in the tower! AMS has a reputation for being an immaculate facility which is easily handicap accessible.
“We are looking forward to heading to Angola Motorsport Speedway,” said USSA Vice-President Eric Bunn. “Wes Parish and his staff have done a great job and we know the open wheel fans will enjoy our show,” Bunn continued.
Series Rookie Kyle Hamilton leads the Sprint Car Challenge Series point battle by a scant 8 points over Caleb Armstrong. The difference between Hamilton and 6th place Jason Fuller is only 40 points. In USSA scoring, that small lead can evaporate with a heat race.
On Saturday July 26, the pit gates will open at 2:00 with practice for all divisions at 3:00, qualifying at 5:30 and racing at 7:00. Angola Motorsport Speedway is located at 2850 N 600 E just north of US 20 in Fremont, IN. For more track information please visit www.angolamotorsportspeedway.
