Findlay, OH — (November 4, 2014) — The Renegade Sprints is heading toward Eastern Pennsylvania next season.
Grandview Speedway, which is a 3/8-mile track in Bechtelsville, Pa., is planning on hosting a pair of events with the 410ci sprint car series in 2015.
“I’m always looking to do something different at Grandview,” said Special Events Promoter Bob Miller, who has worked with Grandview Speedway Owner Bruce Rogers for the past 25 years.
“What I’ve heard is there seemed to be a revival or interest in the Renegade Sprints and that the car counts were really good. It’s always fun and exciting to work with someone new.”
Miller has put on more than 100 special events at the high-banked track under the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series banner, which has paid out nearly $4 million to competitors.
“We’ve been part of Pennsylvania Speedweek,” he said. “I’ve been the first show. I’ve been the last show. I’ve been the middle show. If we have good weather the shows do good. The 410 racing there is just unbelievable. The last couple of years we’ve done two shows. We try to mix it up and have a lot of variety. I think that’s the excitement with the Renegade Sprints.”
The Renegade Sprints held a trio of events this season, including one in Western Pennsylvania.
“We are thrilled to work with Bob, Bruce and everyone at Grandview Speedway,” Renegade Sprints President Shane Helms said. “I’ve heard great things about that track and I think the Renegade Sprints will put together top-notch shows there next year.”
