Debuting his Steven Tiner Racing No. 94 machine for the first time in 2015, Steven Tiner raced his way to the lead early in the Saturday night feature as he recorded his first win of the season at the famed Placerville Speedway.
“It was a great night for this entire Steven Tiner Racing team,” Tiner said. “I have to thank everyone who worked so hard all winter to help get us ready, and to come out and win in what was the cars first night out is pretty special.”
With 25 cars checking into the Placerville Speedway for what kicked off the 50th season of championship action at the speedway, Tiner timed his Larry Davis Farms/Wright Process Systems/Elma Lanes backed No. 94 machine in ninth fastest, before racing his way to a heat race win to earn a spot in the night’s redraw.
Finding himself with the four pill, Tiner would like the Fisher Racing Engines/Harvest Supply/Powder Coat-it backed No. 94 up in the second row of the 25-lap main event. When the green flag dropped, Tiner worked into the third spot, as he would then drive around Andy Gregg on the second lap to take over the second spot.
Chasing down early leader, Jake Morgan, Tiner was very fast on the ¼ mile bullring. Reeling in the leader, Tiner would use the top-shelf in turns three and four and power him machine into the lead on the seventh lap.
Out in front, the Visalia, CA pilot would slowly distance himself from the field as they battled for position in his wake. Getting in lapped traffic, Tiner remained flawless as he was able to power his machine to his first victory of the 2015 season.
“It has been a great start to the season, and hopefully I can keep it going with both the SDR No. 10 machine, and the STR No. 94 car,” he said. “Again, I really want to thank all of the people who support my team, and all of the guys who work their tails off for me.”
Steven and his Steven Tiner Racing team would like to thank Larry Davis Farms, Wright Process Systems, Elma Lanes, Fisher Racing Engines, Harvest Supply, Powder Coat-It, SRP, Wilwood, FSR, XYZ Machine, DMI, Dan Olson Race Products, HRP, Sander Engineering, Sweet Manufacturing, Schoenfeld, and Roseville Precision for their continued support.
2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-3, Wins-1, Top 5’s-2, Top 10’s-3
ON TAP: Tiner will return to action on Friday night at the Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA before taking to the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA with the Civil War Series on Saturday night.
