Ennis, TX — (July 2, 2016) — Dustin Gates of Haughton, LA earned his second Sprint Car Bandits feature of the season at 85 Speedway near Ennis, Texas on Saturday July 2nd – topping a very solid field of 360CI sprint car drivers.
Sixteen drivers would start the 25-lapper, with just one stoppage early on for a minor incident when an under-the-weather Ryan Padgett made contact with an infield tire. We would like to thank Ryan and his team for hauling all the way down from Oklahoma to race with the SCB. We sure hated to see him not feeling well after traveling so far.
It was also great seeing Gary Floyd being able to get his equipment back together after a hard tumble at LoneStar Speedway the week before.
Thanks again to Kannady Racing Engines for putting up an extra $500 to win the feature event – which just happened to be collected by the driver that runs one of their engines.
Next up for the SCB is another $2,000 to win and $300 to start 25-lap affair at Superbowl Speedway near Greenville, Texas on Saturday July 9th.
