Piloting the potent C&M Motorsports No. 7c machine with the Civil War Series on Friday night and at the Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night, Andy Forsberg would rally from a heat race incident at the Ocean Speedway before racing his way to his eighth win of the season on Saturday night.

“It was an eventful weekend for our team, but I am glad we were able to cap it off with a win,” Andy Forsberg said. “I got into the wall on Friday night in our heat race and it made for a long night, and on Saturday we came out fast again and were able to take care of business.”

At the Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night, Forsberg would open his night up by timing the PitStopUSA/PT Shocks/Autism Awareness backed entry in second fastest before racing his way to a second place finish in his heat race.

Pulling the five pill in the feature event redraw, Forsberg would line up in the third row for the 25-lap feature event as point leader, Bradley Terrell would line up one row ahead of him.

With a very strong car just as he had one week ago at the bay area dirt track, Forsberg would flex his muscle as he carved his way to the front, and quickly took over the race lead. Out front, Forsberg would feel pressure from Terrell at times, but on this night the Auburn, CA driver would not be denied of his eighth win of the season.

Friday night, Forsberg and company made the trip to the Ocean Speedway to battle with the Civil War Series presented by Flowmaster for the sixth time of the year.

Timing in 11th fastest of the 37 cars checked into the pit area, Forsberg would line up on the front row of his heat race, and would need to pick up the win to secure a spot in the nightly Dash.

On the opening lap, Forsberg would get into the backstretch wall, and there would be damage to the right rear corner of his car, and he would take a trip to the work area. With his crew, along with the help of other crews, making what repairs they could, Forsberg would charge from the back to finish in the second spot.

Successfully making the feature, Forsberg would line up in the seventh row for the 30-lap feature event. On a track that would be in excellent shape come feature event time, Forsberg would work his way through traffic and pick up spots, only to see him forced to check up and lose positions in the early goings of the race.

Taking advantage of a midrace restart, Forsberg would get his Pacific Highway Rentals/Swartz Diesel/Velocity Race Gear machine moving forward. Getting into the Top-10 late in the race, Forsberg would battle with Steven Tiner in the closing laps as they jockeyed for the sixth spot, but at the line Forsberg would finish in the seventh position.

“I have to thank everyone that helped us out on Friday night,” Forsberg said. “I made a little mistake, but my guys had a great car under me and we were able to overcome it and move forward in the feature.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank PitStopUSA, Autism Awareness, Pacific Highway Rentals, PT Shocks, Swartz Diesel, and Velocity Race Gear and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.
