OCALA, FL (February 12, 2026) – Logan Seavey picked up his second victory during the 2026 edition of the Winter Dirt Games with the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series Thursday night at Ocala Speedway.
Seavey, from Sutter, California, passed defending USAC National Sprint Car champion Kyle Cummins with four laps to go for his second feature win of the week, backing up his victory Monday night at Volusia Speedway Park, and third victory of the 2026 season.
While Seavey has found a considerable amount of success at Volusia with Abacus Racing, Thursday was his first USAC feature win at Volusia .
“I think it was two years ago, our first time with this with this team, we were so close like every night. I think we’re on the podium all four nights, but I just could never get the job done,” said Seavey in victory lane.
Wednesday night’s feature winner Trey Osborne led the first 17 laps until Cummins was able to take advantage of Osborne not getting forward drive in turn four to take the lead.
Seavey followed Cummins around Osborne one lap later and then began to apply pressure for the lead. After searching the racetrack for different lines that might work, Seavey got a run off turn two and drove around the outside of Cummins to take the lead with two laps to go.
Afterwards Seavey indicated getting by Cummins at that point of the feature was a bit of surprise.
“I didn’t expect to pass Kyle right there,” said Seavey. “He kind of struggled off of two, I think he was trying to get down to the moisture, and I think the opposite was probably the better idea. I just kind of drove across and I didn’t expect to go around him. I thought maybe I could slide him into three and he just didn’t get off of two very good, so I just hammered down and tried to pinch him down into three and do my best not to slide over the flat in four.”
From there Seavey held on for the victory. Brady Bacon was able to slide by Cummins for second while Mitchel Moles and Chase Stockon rounded out the top five.
For Bacon, an untimely caution thwarted a nice comeback after dropping back through the field early in the main event.
“We made the right move at the right time, and the caution came out,” said Bacon of starting to move forward in the closing stages of the feature. “This week the cards haven’t fallen in our favor, for sure. Honestly, our car, especially the first half of the races, wasn’t very good, and thankfully, the track went away enough where I could just move around and find something. But we shouldn’t have had to fall back that far. We probably should have been able to get the lead earlier, if our car had been a little better. Last night was super was super heavy, and tonight it changed kind of like it normally would. And I second guessed myself, and we just didn’t quite go far enough.”
Earlier in the night Haden Reinbold went for a hard flip in turns three and four. Reinbold was checked over and returned to his trailer, but opted not to participate in the feature event in his backup car and his status for the remaining two USAC shows at Ocala was to be determined.
The USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series returned to action Friday night for the next to last night at Ocala Speedway during Winter Dirt Games.
