Gene Lasker Takes Top Gun Victory
The Top Gun Sprints made their second visit of 2009 to Ocala Speedway on November 13, 2009 for their final race of the season. There were 19 cars at the track to give fans three heat races and a 25 lap feature race.

Wednesdays with Wayne – $10,000 Man!
November 11, 2009 – Wayne Johnson fell one tick short of winning his second Short Track Nationals, but the $10,000 he received for second isn’t bad either. The Knoxville, Iowa driver had the FattFro #14AJ singing all weekend, and won his preliminary feature as well.

Amanda Ferguson Visits Astatula Elementary School
Last Tuesday, October 27th, Amanda spent the day with her KJ Motorsports #20 sprint car at the Astatula Elementary School for the Arts in Astatula, FL. Astatula is about 20 miles Northwest of Orlando. Amanda was invited to speak to kindergarten, first and fifth grade students about racing.

Rain Dampens SSP’s Candy Bowl V on Saturday for the Fourth Straight Year
Rain played a major role once again at the 5th Annual Candy Bowl presented by J&K Salvage of York held on Saturday, October 31. A slow drizzle began to fall during the Mini Van feature event. Track crews immediately began circling the track to keep it in racing shape and after a 45 minute delay, plans were in place to resume racing when a second band of showers developed out of nowhere just west of the track. When the second band hit, all hopes of completing the features on Saturday night were lost.
