Special Events Highlight Selinsgrove Weekend
Selinsgrove Speedway will present two high-profile events this Saturday, Aug. 4, and Sunday, Aug. 5, featuring the super late models in the 14th Annual Foss Jewelers Late Model Open on Saturday and the 358-360 sprint cars in the Mach 1 Chassis Mid-Atlantic Championship Series on Sunday. Race time both nights is 7:30 p.m.

Brady Bacon – Kings Speedway King!
Brady Bacon picked up a win in a new venue on Saturday, the Kings Speedway in Hanford, California. The Broken Arrow, Oklahoma was victorious in Lucas Oil ASCS National Series action, and also picked up a second place finish on Sunday at the Santa Maria Speedway. He will trek 1800 miles to compete in the Knoxville (IA) 360 Nationals this week.

It wasn’t a matter of if, but rather when David Gravel would pick up his first win of the 2012 season. After four runner-up finishes this year, the 20-year-old broke through and was victorious last week, north of the border at Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions on Thursday, July 26.

With a dire motor situation bringing doubts and a field of 41 solid 360 sprint cars on Saturday night, Carson McCarl had a solid run, taking a sixth place finish at the Knoxville Raceway home with him to Altoona, Iowa. The 360 Nationals commence this week, and Carson will be qualifying on Friday night.

Berry Inches Closer To 2012 Track Championship at Spartan
The Non-Winged Sprint Cars division at Spartan Speedway, located south of Lansing in Mason, Michigan saw veteran Tommy Fedewa sweep the entire season by winning every Feature in 2011. Fast Forward to 2012 and although Fedewa himself hasn’t visited victory lane, his new teammate has picked up the slack by winning four of the six main events conducted this season.
